Awakening to the Universal Truth of Oneness

This week, I wanted to share an experience which woke something up inside of me, an experience which allowed me to awaken to the truth of oneness, an experience which, for the first time, made me truly feel connected to everything.  I’m still not sure if I was in a dream state or awake but the feeling was amazing. After some resistance and hesitation, I felt myself detach from my body and as the gradual veil of separation lifted, I started to become aware that I was expanding, feeling incredibly light and free. I noticed myself on my bed and I looked so small, so insignificant – being present in a reality beyond duality I felt invincible and surrounded by unconditional love and light. Upon awakening I realised that I had just had my very first out of body experience.

This spiritually transformative experience truly awakened me to the truth of oneness, to the knowing that we are all interconnected. We are all one and our oneness encompasses everyone and everything, including God, so if everything is God/Love/Source energy (whatever you choose to call it) and we are all connected, it follows then that we are all God/Love/Source energy.  As Rumi’s quote says, we are all aspects of god. And when we fully awaken in the self we experience a pure consciousness that is non-dual. It simply is. It knows. There is no subject or object, only oneness. The pure consciousness of the awakened self is the light of oneness.

Many don’t understand this concept of oneness because we are in a physical body limited by what we perceive to be the constraints of time and space, but once you awaken to the universal truth of oneness you will come to know that God is within every one of us. As the bible teaches us, God is in all things. This is the reason why whatever you do to yourself, whatever you do to others, affects the whole.

If we just remember who we truly are, we can all create miracles. The only difference between miracle workers is that they remember who they are. We all have the power to create miracles. How? By tapping into what you want rather than what you don’t want. Don’t focus on the negatives in this world; look for the beauty in everything. We are vibrational beings that attract like unto ourselves. Choose to focus on the love that is around you. I remember when I made the decision, years ago, to stop watching the news, even before I had awakened to the truth. I decided then to focus on the blessings and beautiful things that are going on in the world and continue to do so to this day.  Focus on solutions, not problems. Tap into the higher vibrational energies of love, joy and gratitude.

Your outer world is simply a mirror of your inner self. Everyone you meet, every one you come into contact with is merely a reflection of you because you are a vibrational being so whatever you are feeling you are attracting that to yourself. Once you truly know this, you are no longer a victim to your life’s circumstances; whatever you create, you also have the power to change. If you create disharmony in your life, you can fix it and create harmony. Own your life experience. Your life is your movie; you are the writer, the producer, the director, the actor. As Shakespeare famously said:

‘’ All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players‘’

When you own your experiences, you have the power to create the life of your choosing. You might be thinking ‘I would never have created this situation or I would never have wanted this tragedy in my life’. It’s not that you created it on purpose, you created it by default. When you really resist something, when you say ‘I don’t want this, I don’t want that’ what you are doing is putting energy on what you don’t want. You have to focus on what you do want. Abraham talks about this in the law of attraction. Focus on what you do want. This reminds me of Mother Teresa who said she would never attend a war protest, but she would participate in a peace rally. Focus on peace, not on war. This is so much more powerful. When you turn on the light, the darkness disappears.

Remember who you truly are. Remember you have God within you and remember you can create miracles in your life and in the world. It’s time to reclaim your power.

When we live with conscious awareness of our intrinsic oneness we bring this oneness into a collective consciousness that is dying through the illusion of separation. Our light is the light of the world; our divine consciousness is the spiritual consciousness of the world; nothing is separate.
